This is a pair of 1990s Art Deco style Joan Rivers clip-on earrings. A large oval simulated pearl and a faceted purple crystal glass each sit in two sections of gold-tone metal connected with hinges. The hinges allow the glass inlaid sections to swing freely.
As a jewelry designer, Joan Rivers made her debut on the channel QVC. Noteworthily, first pieces signed “Joan Rivers” appeared in 1990, but her jewelry trademark was registered in 1996.
